Indoor or outdoor ranges

Some people love indoor ranges for convenience and year-round shooting. Others say outdoor is the only way to go. I'm curious what everyone prefers and why. What's your usual spot and what makes you choose that over the other option?

I usually go to the indoor range because it's close and I know what to expect. When I'm short on time, whatever is easiest wins. Outdoor ranges are cool but I only go when I have a whole afternoon free.
