I've been messing with my tree stand the past few seasons and little changes made a big difference. A better harness and quieter rope made me feel safer, a thicker seat pad made long sits way more comfy. It's amazing how much more patient you get when you’re not freezing or fidgeting..

Same here., once I swapped to a wider seat and upgraded my harness, everything changed. Longer sits felt effortless and I stopped fidgeting so much.

Please all hunters out there, don't hunt from a tree stand without a safety harness. Have a good friend that went out one opening morning. At about 8 AM with the warm sun shining on him he dozed off for a second. Couple of hours later his hunting partner found him where he fell out of his tree stand. He is now paralyzed from the neck down. ALL tree stand accidents can be prevented. PLEASE wear a safety harness as soon as you leave the ground.
