Hey everyone,

I thought it'd be great to start a thread about our favorite (or least favorite) gun shops around Wisconsin. What makes a gun shop trustworthy to you? Is it the staff's knowledge, their customer service, or maybe the range of products they carry?

I know some shops can have a killer selection of used guns but might overcharge on transfers or have hidden fees. Have you had any standout experiences, good or bad? I'd love to hear about shops you'd recommend—or warn us to avoid!

Moe Harkware Hank & Sporting Goods in Black River Falls, they've been around a long time and are darn good folk to deal with ..

in the LaCrosse area try Daves Guns for doing transfers

Dam Road Gun Shop, on Dam Road just north of Delavan. Little hole-in-the-wall place, but just packed with all the necessaries, great selection of rifles, shotguns, and handguns, and willing to discuss them with anyone who walks in. Always my first stop when shopping for something particular.

In the Eau Claire/Chippewa Falls area we have Marc-On Shooting. Depending on who is working you can have very knowledgeable staff, or someone newer to the gun world. They have always treated me well and are good to work with. They have a range and gunsmith on-site. A convenient place to go to.

I have co-workers who live in, or near, Bloomer. They like the local place called Northwoods Tactical.

I like Bills Sporting Goods in Lomira and Holliday in Waupun and Ripon, also Ace Hardware in Waupun.
