Got out on a fresh stretch of water in central Wisconsin last weekend, targeting some bass. The weather was decent, a little cloudy but warm enough for a good day. Tried out a couple of different lures — a chatterbait and some plastic worms. The bite was hit or miss; I had a few strikes but only managed to land one decent 2-pounder. My buddy got skunked, which was hilarious since he swears he's the bass whisperer. Water was pretty clear, but not sure what their deal was. Anyone else having better luck this year?
