Way back when men were men, and girls were women we were taught to shoot handguns with one hand, both strong and weak hands, both dominant and non dominant eyes. We were taught to shoot in dim light with night sights or even regular sights. If we needed a light, it was a flashlight held in the other hand off to the side where if your assailant shot at the light it wouldn't be an automatic kill shot. We could shoot around corners exposing only half of our head and the shoulder and arm that was holding the firearm keeping our bodies hidden and safe behind cover. Yup the good old days before we had all of these fancy tactical lights attached to our firearms, shooting with our bodies fully exposed. The light became a target so that the assailant only had to shoot the light to be assured of a hit, if not a kill shot. Progress at it's best.
