Hello from the Milwaukee area! Excited to be part of this forum.
Hello critterpicker. My youngest son and his family are right up the road I suspect. He has a Valders address.Welcome from the Manitowoc/Two Rivers area.
Hello Cabbage Patch (aka Tabby). I was for many years a bird hunter, small game, etc.. Been disabled since 2015 so nothing recent. But I enjoy connecting with others in the sports. For now a friend takes me to the range. So more time hand then anything else.Welcome from Cottage Grove, sometimes referred to as Cabbage Patch. Do you hunt? If so what and where do you hunt?
I used to like hunting phesant, ducks and geese but these days due to physical limitations pretty much stick to Turkeys and Deer. I have been increasingly disabled since 2019 due to hip and knee issues due to injuries during Army service. I still am able to get out to the range and shoot on my own as long as I take my time walking downrange to put up and retrieve targets and enjoy target shooting and load development for my many rifles. Which range do you go to?Hello Cabbage Patch (aka Tabby). I was for many years a bird hunter, small game, etc.. Been disabled since 2015 so nothing recent. If you are in the neighborhood, let me know, maybe we can chuck some lead downrange.Hello critterpicker. My youngest son and his family are right up the road I suspect. He has a Valders address.
Mostly Wisconsin Firearm Training Center in Brookfield (indoor). Nice place, clean, good service. Health allowing I would like to find an outdoor range next summer. I use a roller walker or am in a wheelchair. The folks at WFTC are really great about accomodating me, and a good friend comes along to shoot and help me.I used to like hunting phesant, ducks and geese but these days due to physical limitations pretty much stick to Turkeys and Deer. Sounds like fun. He is currently deployed but should be back in the spring. If you are in the neighborhood, let me know, maybe we can chuck some lead downrange.
My outdoor range is the Deerfield Rod & Gun Club otherwise indoor ranges are Fletcher Arms in Pewaukee and Max Creek Outdoors in Oregon. I don't do a lot of shooting during the winter, spend most of the time either on the computer writing or on the bench reloading for the warm weather.Mostly Wisconsin Firearm Training Center in Brookfield (indoor). Outdoor and other technical types. Currently writing a story based on my life in the Army.Familiar with Fletcher. Never been there but it seems they have a lot of classes and activities. What type of writing do you do?
We are glad to have you here! WelcomeHello from the Milwaukee area! Excited to be part of this forum.
I also write. Articles for amateur radio (was once a AMARS) and on and off road vehicle aftermarket parts magazines. Never brave enough to write a book. Started once, didn't get far. So I am impressed!Outdoor and other technical types. Currently writing a story based on my life in the Army.
