Just replaced the pressure nut on my 450 sizer. I bought this sizer used in the mid 70's, after using it a couple of years the pressure screw broke so I replaced it. Then about 2 years ago the pressure nut wore out. It was the old style with a rubber coating and the rubber coating wore out. This sizer has sized thousands of bullet and I wanted to switch to a hard lube that would require a heater so I purchased another 450 sizer and made a heater plate that I could use an iron for a heat source and it works really well.

So way back when my original sizer failed I ordered a pressure nut for it. Well this morning I finally got around to replacing it. The old sizer is back up and running. Sized a few hundred bullets with it this morning. Now I can use hard lube on the bullets that I drive a little faster and soft lube on my plinking loads.

Glad your old 450 sizer is back in the game! Nothing beats bringing classic gear back to life and having that second one for hard lube and heat is a smart move, man. Keep sizing!

I find bullet casting relaxing. Call me crazy, but to me it's all part of the shooting experience. I have my reloading equipment in my furnace room where it's about 75°year around so the soft lube flows nice, and the hard lube isn't necessary below 1000 FPS hand gun plinking loads.
