Purchased a property in Pound, Wisconsin recently.

Was living in Salmon, Idaho for the past three years and have lived out west since 1986
Wife has family south and north of us, hence the move so she can be closer to her family after being away for many years.

I'll be hunting elk/deer in the Salmon, Idaho area each fall......and may dip into some local hunting eventually.
I've been a long time shooter/collector/reloader and had a pistol range and 1,000 yard rifle range on my place in Salmon and will certainly miss that.

I am a long time member of the Smith & Wesson Collectors Association as well as the SASS group, but not an active SASS shooter.
I go by THREEDFLYER on most forums that I am on as well as on GunBroker, eBay, etc.

Hope to attend some gun shows and eventually find a gun club in my area.

My primary interest is S&W hand ejectors, Winchester/Marlin lever guns (early) and U.S. Military firearms. I also dabble in cartridge collecting.

If you are in my area feel free to PM me and introduce yourself.

Cheers!
Tom

I had to look up where Pound was , just a little north of Green Bay , I've got 2 nephews that live up in that area , both really into hunting and fishing

There's an elevated deer blind on every open field that I drive by in this area.......and an amazing amount of fishing water to say the least.

Yeah, if you end up hunting around here you will quickly realize that stand/blind hunting works the best. It's about patterning the animals and waiting to ambush them.

Very different than hunting out west.

We also don't shoot much for range when hunting here either. Unless you are looking over farm fields, the shooting range tends to be very limited in general.
