Non-gun people don't get why you need multiple guns of the same type. To them, a rifle is a rifle. How do you even explain it? Or do you just stop trying? I've given up explaining why I need three ARs. Let me know if you've found words that actually work.

I just quit explaining things. If someone wants to get it, they'll ask good questions. Otherwise, it's a waste of time.

When confronted with people like this my response is, "I am a certified instructor, meet me at the range, and I will show you the differences, and even let you try shooting a couple of different types of firearms. Some will take you up on the invitation, others will prefer to stick to their preconceived notions and ignorance. Talking to those types of know it all's is simply beating your gums together and mostly a waste of time. However, the ones that do accept your invitation will usually at least come away with a different point of view. After being properly introduced many will end up converts and become gun owners themselves. It's simply another case of where actions speak louder than words.

As I read through all the responses above, I see cute and self righteous comments, but nothing to address the problem or try to educate or change the point of view of those who in their ignorance have fallen victim to the leftists. These leftists have mounted an organized assault on our country. This is done by placing unwarranted doubt and fear into the minds of those who do not have the wherewithal to think for themselves and follow whomever is speaking the loudest.

I hope that none of you making these smart comments here are making them out in public. If so you are just as much a part of the problem as those who believe in gun control and all of the rest of the leftist agenda.

Instead of cracking wise, try to talk intelligently and convert those who think that the leftist agenda is in the best interests of this country.

I have a brother in law who was a medic in Vietnam.
He is a die-hard liberal/democrat (Libtard) and will never change.

He has seen my extensive gun collection (3 large safes) and just can't understand how it is legal for anyone to own such a large number of firearms.

I gave up long ago trying to get his brain to wrap around gun ownership and the 2nd Amendment

It's so easy for folks like that to throw away other peoples constitutional rights, but it will come back to bite them in the a** at some point.

What you have failed to realize is the simple fact that types your speaking of cannot have or accept any sort of explanation given them. They are way to far gone to accept anything rationale or of common sense. Also, you usually cant get one of these types on a one on one conversation, they will usually be with a crowd, their strength in numbers. You wont hear a peep out of them otherwise. There is no explanation possible for these left leaning idiots. I personally have no use for them and the ones I have known now avoid me ,simply because I have proven them wrong on every single issue they hold so near and dear to their black heart's.
