What's always in your truck bed?

I keep a toolbox, jumper cables, tow strap, and random bungee cords back there permanently. You never know when you'll need them. Had to help three different people last month with stuff from my bed. What do you keep back there all the time?

Straps, bungees, jumper cables, light plastic shovel, bag of salt.

Well no truck these days, a Jeep Grand Cherokee is as close as I get these days. But, like a pickup it has a rear cargo area. What is in the cargo area varies with the seasons. Right now there is a sleeping bag, a trap ammo belt and carrier, shotgun shells, 9mm, 357 and 38 Super ammo, pistol targets and an Ice and Snow brush. In warmer weather there is usually both rifle and pistol targets, a variety of ammo, spotting scope, garmin, rifle rests and whatever rifle and pistol I am playing with. Since I shoot a lot I keep a lot of my shooting stuff in the cargo area all the time. Too much of a pain in the butt to move it in then take it out.

Those basics cover almost any roadside problem. I’d add a small first-aid kit, just in case.

Sounds like a mobile range back there! I like keeping seasonal gear handy too, it saves so much time.
