Worst "expert advice" you've ever received

I once heard someone say, 'Always load it as hot as you can for the best results.' That's just awful advice, you'll end up with a gun that wears out faster and kicks like crazy without really getting anything extra out of it. The best way to do it is to match the load to what you actually need, not just cramming in the most powder you can. More isn't always better, you know?

Pushing loads to the max rarely adds real benefit and usually just increases wear, recoil and risk for no good reason.

Someone once told me being uncomfortable makes you tougher. It just made me miserable and careless. Being comfortable helps me concentrate and that keeps me from making mistakes.

Whoever gave you that advice, had their head, well use your imagination. I don't want to get threatened by the admins again for using innuendo. While being uncomfortable is necessary from time to time it never makes you tougher or to perform better. All it does is to make you miserable.
